Kuželkářský klub Blansko (in short KK Blansko) is a ninepin bowling club founded only in 2013. But, in fact, it was a part of the larger multi-sport club TJ Spartak ČKD Blansko which was founded in 1954. Forty years later, the name of the club was shortened to TJ ČKD Blansko. KK Blansko is currently one of the most prominent clubs in the Czech Republic. For the 2016-17 season, there are four teams of adult players, one under-18 team and one under-14 team.

The most successful team of the club is the women’s team, which has been playing in the top-level league of the Czech Republic since 2000. During that time, the team finished third five times and as a runner-up in seasons 2009-10 and 2012-13. When listing the achievements of this era, there must be mentioned the win in the Czech Cup in 2012 followed by the Super Cup trophy. The women’s team of Blansko has been successful also on the international level. In recent years, it has been a regular participant of international team cups, and, moreover, it has won the NBC Cup in 2009.

Our men’s teams are a bit overshadowed by the successful women’s team. The first team currently plays in the second-level national league. However, this team has also spend several seasons in the national top league in the 1990s. The biggest success was in the 1996-97 season, when the team finished in second place.

A great number of our players is successful in the Individual National Championships as well. Blansko players regularly take part in the Czech national teams. Just in the last couple of years we have witnessed the growing careers of Zuzana Musilová, Lenka Kalová or Lucie Nevřivová, to name a few, who also started at the World Championships.
